We are committed to nurturing young people in development of a lively faith and trust in our Lord Jesus Christ. Our youth program includes Sunday morning Sunday School and Confirmation preparation, Wednesday after school pick-up for Youth Choir and Banner Making and Acolyte Training Classes which are now forming, plus Dinner and Jr. and Sr. High Student Life classes. We would love to see you at any or all of these events! To see what’s going on, check out the youth activities and schedule. SUNDAYS Breakfast and Sunday School each Sunday at 9:15 am in the Youth Building Sunday School Jr. and Sr. High meet in the portable building next to the Fellowship Hall. Snacks 9:15, Lesson 9:30 Sunday Jams each Sunday at 9:30 am in the Fellowship Hall the youth will be dropping into the Contemporary Worship Services to check out what our praise band has to offer once and a while. If we’re not in class, look for a sign on the door of the Youth Building as to where to find us after breakfast. Sunday Afternoon Groove A Sunday afternoon youth program for fun and fellowship with an emphasis on missions, the third Sunday of each month, 12-2 pm Lunch provided. We will be bringing what we can from home and asking church members and area businesses for donations of items needed for the monthly mission projects.
In Fellowship Hall, 12-2 PM, the third Sunday of each month. A hang out, fun time with a mission emphasis.
HELP WANTED Youth Helpers Needed: Liturgists, ushers, greeters Youth greeters, ushers and liturgists are needed for the 10:50 AM worship service the last Sunday of each month. See Laura to sign up.
Adult Helpers Needed: Bus Drivers with a class b commercial driver’s license are desperately needed to help keep our great new bus on the road. Contact Rodney Sayles or the church office for details. |

Youth Director
Laura
Hill - Laura has served at CLUMC since February 2005. Born in
Houston, she and her family moved to Soda Springs, Idaho when she
was nine years old. The daughter of missionary parents, Laura
grew up on the mission field. A classically trained vocalist and
actress, Laura's musical and theatrical abilities helped her to
carve a niche for herself in the hearts of the predominately Mormon
community. She later attended Southwest Baptist University in
Bolivar, Missouri majoring in Church Recreation and minoring in
Music and Psychology. Laura then returned to Idaho where she
served simultaneously as Youth Director for Calvary Baptist Church
in Idaho Falls, Idaho and as Associational Youth Director for East
Idaho Baptist Association for many years. Laura, her
husband, Dennis, and their son, Elijah, now five, returned to Texas
in 2003 to be near her parents who had retired to this area.
Laura enjoys scary movies, parties, the outdoors and rediscovering
Texas after all these years.
