Hope Circle of CLUMC is a service organization, a small group, whose purpose is to know God through Jesus Christ and to develop a creative, supportive fellowship that supports missions of the church and global ministries of United Methodist Women. Hope Circle was formed primarily to provide women who prefer to meet in the evening an opportunity to be a part of the extended life of the church. The group provides women the chance to form friendships and experience the blessings of Christian fellowship and service.

Hope Circle meets regularly on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. Meetings are in homes or in the church parlor. Fellowship, interesting programs, retreats, fundraising projects, crafts, excursions, dinners, and love of Jesus Christ bind us together. Meetings are posted in the Newsletter and Sunday Bulletins. All women of the church are invited to take part in any of Hope Circle's activities. Come join us . . . You'll be Blessed!

Love Circle of CLUMC was the original women's group established at the time of founding of our church. Love Circle meets regularly on the 3rd Monday of every month at 10:00 AM in the church parlor. Focusing with a more traditional approach. Love Circle offers United Methodist Women's Studies on Geographical, Spiritual, and Current Event topics, as well as participating in Reading Programs and providing educational resources for women. Members serve the Bible students at San Antonio College each spring.

Mission giving is the primary purpose of Love Circle which has earned them a 5-Star ranking. YOU are invited to participate!

Mission Projects

Special projects for Canyon Lake UMW include the CROP Walk; Woman at the Well; the Orphanage and Methodist Church at Piedras Negras, Mexico; the church Blood Drive; supporting a platoon in Iraq with mailings and handmade gifts; the Methodist Mission Home; CLUMC Youth Retreats; the Pastor's Discretionary Fund: UMW Mission Memorials; as well as our UMW Pledges to Missions.

Orphanage Mission Trip
Hope Circle sponsors a birthday party for the orphanage in Piedras Negras. We furnish gifts and treats and travel to celebrate a day with the children.

Activities and Opportunities

Each spring a two day Women's Retreat sponsored by Hope Circle for ALL women of the church and the community is held at a near by retreat center. Our time together offers spiritual renewal lead by a guest women pastor, as well as recreation and the joy of making new friends.

Annual Picnic
Each June Hope Circle host a church picnic. Husbands, children and guest also enjoy the fun event.

Painted Church Excursion 
Our church bus allows us to do many field trips during the year.
One was our day outing to the Flatonia/La Grange area to see several 100-150 year old hand painted churches.

Annual Hat Luncheon
A pot-luck  salad luncheon hosted by Love circle each June is a Fun loving showcase for hats of all kinds. From the sublime to the ridiculous, make or wear favorite!

Women's Chorus
Each Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM the Women's Chorus meets for a 30-minute rehearsal, and sings once a month for services.

The Altar Guild
Offers an opportunity within our church (through the Worship Committee) to serve our Lord by preparing the elements and readying the altar for communion the first Sunday of each month as well as changing the chancel paraments to coincide with the liturgical seasons. To participate or obtain more information please call the church office – we are eager to have you with us.
