Dear C.L.U.M.C.
June, 2009
Vacation
Bible School Leaders,
I
thoroughly enjoyed the V.B.S. kids, staff and volunteers
this year. My family has been part of your V.B.S. for
several years but this year seemed to radiate God’s Love
for everyone. Every detail was carried out to
perfection. Thank you for making V.B.S. one of the
highlites of our summer. Please accept this cash
donation for your ministry.
From, One
who loves Christ
Dear CLUMC
June 2009
"My dad
and I attended your church today for the second time. I
can not begin to express the gratitude I have for
EVERYONE! What a great congregation! I am excited to be
able to attend in the future. My daughter and I moved
here from the Spring, TX area and we were members at
Faithbridge. I served in the church nursery for six
years and loved every minute of it! I am also the one
who slipped in the parking lot and received attention
and help within minutes from members of the
congregation. Thanks! I also want to send a shout out to
Ms. Maus of vbs, I was concerned about registering my
child for vbs at such a late time, but she was very
patient and caring. My family and I felt blessed to have
found such an awesome church. We are looking forward to
vbs and future Sundays to come! Thank You.”
CANYON LAKE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH A CHURCH WORTH FINDING
Our Beliefs
Canyon
Lake United Methodist Church is a congregation that takes seriously
our creed of seeking to Open Hearts, Open Minds and Open Doors.
John Wesley and the early
Methodists were particularly concerned about inviting people to
experience God’s grace and to grow in their knowledge and love of
God through disciplined Christian living. They placed primary
emphasis on Christian living, on putting faith and love into action.
This emphasis on what Wesley referred to as "practical divinity" has
continued to be a hallmark of United Methodism today. We invite you
to learn more about our rich theological heritage.
United Methodists are:
·A covenant people -
through prayers, presence,
giving, service and witness.
·A diverse community -
celebrating a diversity of
people, ideas and cultures.
·Biblical in faith -
embracing the record of God’s
salvation working through people.
·Mission-oriented,
socially-minded - putting faith
into action.
·Ecumenical - sharing God’s love for all with all.
·Connectional - together reaching around the globe
with faith, hope and love.
·Evangelical -nurturing
personal piety and discipleship through biblical study and
evangelism in order to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
