Methodist Day School

At Canyon Lake Methodist Day School and Mother’s Day Out, our mission is to show the love of God to your child.  Our trained staff is committed to providing a safe, healthy, Christian environment where children can play, learn, and grow.

We strive to give your child the best of beginnings.  We offer Christian and cognitive curriculums for children 18 months thru Pre K Four that encourage your child to grow in faith and fundamentals.  Our program includes age appropriate curriculums, chapel time, art and music enrichment, field trips and many other special events.

Methodist Day School operates Monday thru Thursday, 8:30 am – 2:00 pm following the Comal Independent School calendar.  Parents can choose one of the following programs for their child:

2 day           $140.00 per month
3 day             210.00 per month
4 day             240.00 per month

Canyon Lake Methodist Day School is a non-profit, licensed pre school for children between the ages of 1-4 years.

Our mission is to provide an environment where each child can gain a love for learning, a healthy self image and a greater understanding of God's love through Christian and cognitive curriculums. The children enjoy daily art activities and a fun filled music program! A great place to play, laugh and learn!

Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 2:00 pm

Our Director

Shirley Funderburgh has 32 years of experience in early education and has been the director of Methodist Day School since 2007.  She has been director of three church sponsored programs and two privately owned Christian schools.  She has taught preschool for over eight years and believes that preschool education will lay the foundation for success in kindergarten and beyond. 

Our Staff

It is our goal to provide a staff that is loving, nurturing, experienced and professional.  Our staff will have a genuine commitment to quality early childhood education as it relates to the individual child.  Each member of the staff participates in yearly training in order to further their knowledge of the principles of child growth and development.
