CLUMC Confirmation Classes are led by Pastor Brad DeHaven and coordinated by Rev. Elaine Smith (Ret.) for middle school youth. Classes are usually held January through April on Sunday mornings during which time youth explore the history, theology and traditions of the Christian faith, specifically United Methodism in America and around the world. They learn the meaning of commitment to God and how to share their faith to others, thus confirming their love for Jesus Christ.  At the end of the classes students have the option of being Baptized into the Methodist Church or re-confirming the Baptismal vows that were made for them in their infancy. Confirmation Classes are a serious commitment. Parents/caregivers are asked to help the student follow through with their promise to attend the classes. We try to accommodate family and school schedules but setting priorities is part of the process of learning what is important in life. Discussion is underway for an adult Confirmation class for recent Methodist converts. Call or email Pastor Brad or Rev. Elaine if interested in the youth or adult Confirmation Classes.
